Listen to information from your favourite website.
London, UK (26 March 2007): ConnectMeAnywhere, a
London-based communications company, announced today
the release of their new service which allows users
to listen to their favourite websites. This is a
free service that enables you to listen via your
landline or mobile phone.
Ryan Gallagher, the CEO of ConnectMeAnywhere, said
"We are pretty excited about the service and it has
many uses from getting the latest news, weather,
traffic updates and sports results to just reading a
blog. The usability that this gives to people who
are visually impaired is another fantastic benefit
of the technology.”
The idea from a consumer side is to be able to use
your normal everyday phone for getting the
information you want whenever you want it; no
character limits, wait times or high fees associated
with downloading data and receiving SMSs. Best of
all you can listen to it when you are walking,
jogging, driving, on a bus or just relaxing.
ConnectMeAnywhere have already populated their
online directory with a number of leading UK and US
blogs and news feeds. When a user creates a
ConnectMeAnywhere account they will be able to phone
one local number to listen to them or they can add
their own favourite sites to their list.
Example: add BBC Technology News from:
http://newsrss.bbc.co.uk/rss/newsonline_uk_edition/technology/rss.xml
Then you just phone one local number which will read
you the information from the website (RSS Feed).

From a content provider perspective, this provides a
new way to get content out to the end user without
needing to format their content at all.
ConnectMeAnywhere do all the hard work, all they
have to do is keep publishing their RSS feed.
ConnectMeAnywhere can also provide personalised
numbers to websites. The number will be dedicated
to them 100% and there is no set-up required other
than letting everyone know your number. There are
various packages available to suits everyone's needs
from small bloggers to large international
corporates.

For example: Listen to Sam Sethi and Mike Butcher's
blog on UK: 02070991079
For example: Listen to Gigaom Blog on USA:
1.650.644.1391
